Welcome to the online research skills booking system for workshops and training courses. On these pages you can view details of workshops, book places, view and manage your bookings, and run a transcript of workshops attended.

The online management system will keep track of your bookings for you. Once logged in the student area, you will be able to view those workshops you have requested; those which are confirmed, those you have attended, and those you are on a waiting list for. You will also be able to produce a personal transcript of your attended workshops.

Advanced Quantitative Methods: Data management using SPSS syntax (1 day school) Social Sciences DTC Researchers Only

This course is aimed at a very wide audience, namely anyone who ever has to handle data using SPSS! It is particularly beneficial if you collect your own data and need to convert it to SPSS format, and/or have to create variables, merge data from different files, etc.

This course is focused upon modelling discrete outcomes, e.g. probabilities, and censored outcomes, e.g. consumption.

The workshops will be organised around case studies that will provide a focus for student reflection on research integrity and ethics. The workshops will cover - ‘Approaching Your Research’, ‘Doing Research’, and ‘Disseminating Research’.
