How to engage with employers recruiting on campusCode: CAR-013, Offered By: Career Management Skills
This talk is for researchers considering a career outside academia, who would like to gain an insight into employment opportunities via the Careers Service. There will be over 300 employers visiting the campus this semester and some of these may provide career openings. Some organisations will attend our careers fairs so find out how to make the most of these events, and how to promote your PhD/research experience. Other employers will be giving a presentation that explains what it is like to work for a particular company. Employer Q&As are designed to provide you with an opportunity to talk to employers in an informal environment. Skills sessions will also be offered giving all under graduate and postgraduate students the chance to practise some of the key skills which employers outside academia are seeking.
In the evenings ten industry networking events will be running.
Come along and find out more about the different ways of engaging with employers on campus.
